Additive Manufacturing Users Group Launches New Web Site

New website features links to social networking sites.

CHATSWORTH, CALIF. – April 1, 2011 – Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG), an organization for owners and operators of additive manufacturing equipment, today announced the launch of its redesigned website located at www.additivemanufacturingusersgroup.com and www.am-ug.com, domain names formerly recognized as www.3dsug.org.

“This website is an integral part of communicating our organization’s mission and vision,” said AMUG chairman Gary Rabinovitz. “Traditionally our website was used for disseminating information about 3D Systems technologies, today our organization has grown to encompass all additive manufacturing equipment manufacturers including EOS, Objet, Stratasys and Z Corporation systems, as well as other additive manufacturing OEMs.”

The site has undergone significant improvement in the areas of content, navigation and design. Notable changes include increased information about equipment manufacturers and event sponsors. The new site also includes many visible links to AMUG social networks:

Formerly known as 3DSUG, AMUG was established to encourage and coordinate technical information exchange between owners and operators of additive manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to, 3D Systems, EOS Electro Optical Systems, Objet Geometries, Stratasys and Z Corporation. AMUG meets annually to provide a forum for presentation of papers relating to the dissemination of processes and new technologies related to the operation of additive manufacturing equipment and the secondary or final application of parts or/and tools made from these systems.
