St. Louis Union Station is the 2018 AMUG Conference site. This beautiful, historic property will be home to the conference activities, including the AMUGexpo, and the hub for our social and networking activities.
About St. Louis Union Station
Set in the center of St. Louis, the historic AAA Four-Diamond St. Louis Union Station (Curio – A Collection by Hilton) was constructed in 1894 and has been completely renovated. Transport back to a time when travel was truly extraordinary. The historic beauty helped the property achieve a top Railway Themed Hotel rating by Condé Nast, and it is listed as a National Historic Landmark.
This hotel features the impressive ‘Headhouse’ Grand Hall as a lobby lounge area with its sweeping archways, gold leaf detailing, mosaics and art glass windows. Witness a remarkable 3D-projected light show on the Grand Hall 65-foot-tall ceiling, once an hour between 5pm-10pm daily.
The hotel has had dramatic changes since AMUG’s last visit. The conference facility has been expanded to 100,000 sq. ft. to accommodate 2,000 attendees. For entertainment, the hotel has added The Train Park, which features a 200-foot-tall observation ferris wheel, a new train park, and 3D-animated light and fire shows at the lake.
St. Louis Union Station is within walking distance to Scottrade Center, Peabody Opera House and many other attractions, including Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. The hotel is just 20 minutes from Lambert International Airport. Enjoy direct MetroLink access to the airport.
AMUG will have ‘run-of-the-house’, which means that the entire hotel, including 100,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, will be dedicated to the conference.
