AMUG succeeds and the AMUG Conference excels through the efforts of volunteers. Throughout the year—before, during and after the annual conference—our members play a vital role.
There are a range of volunteer duties to suit your interests and schedule, ranging from a few hours during the AMUG Conference to yearlong engagement on committees or as a board member.

At the Conference
At the conference, there are several opportunities, such as helping with registration badges, swag-bag stuffing, moderating sessions, assisting in setup and tear down of the AMUGexpo, and helping to staff the registration desk.
As we get closer to the 2023 AMUG Conference, the volunteer form will be updated to include that option and the deadline for applying is March 1, 2023.
AMUG Committees serve for twelve months. However, most have one to 3 months of active participation. Take a look at the committees to get an idea of where your contributions would make a difference.
The deadline for applying to serve on a committee from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, has passed. The application for the next term will be available by January 1, 2023.
On the Board
To take the reins and influence actions that go beyond the annual conference, consider serving on AMUG’s Board of Directors. Seven of the nine Director positions are filled by member votes cast in the election.
The application (self-nomination) period will open October 1, 2022, and close on January 26, 2023.
