Toyota
President@amug.com
Dallas is a Senior Engineer in additive manufacturing at Toyota with 27 years of experience in the field. His journey began with an early exposure to plastics and 3D printing, evolving through aerospace and defense before settling into the automotive industry. Dallas spent 15 years at Johnson Controls International (Fuji Autotech) before joining Toyota as its first additive manufacturing engineer.
Leading Toyota’s Additive Lab, Dallas helps shape the direction of additive manufacturing across production and global initiatives by driving education, adoption, and real-world application. His work focuses on helping others understand and apply additive to solve practical manufacturing challenges and deliver measurable value.
What started with a few FDM and PolyJet machines for prototyping has grown to more than 30 printers housed in the 6,000-square-foot lab used for prototyping, production efficiency (tooling & fixtures) and end-use-part production.
Dallas has been an active participant and vocal supporter of AMUG since first attending its conferences 12 years ago. He is currently a member of the Sponsor & Exhibitor Committee and was previously on the Expo Committee. For these contributions, he received AMUG’s coveted Distinguished INnovator Operator (DINO) Award in 2025
