2027 AMUG Conference Registration Opens September 1

The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) will open registration for its 2027 AMUG Education and Training Conference on September 1, 2026. The conference will be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from March 14–18, 2027. This event is open to employees of organizations that directly own commercially available additive manufacturing equipment used in professional environments.

The AMUG Conference brings additive manufacturing users of all experience levels together to exchange practical insights, compare real-world results, solve challenges, and explore new applications. Formal presentations and informal conversations during breaks, meals, and networking activities create a user-led environment where attendees help one another put additive manufacturing knowledge into practice.

The user-driven agenda includes presentations, hands-on workshops, AMUGexpo, and evening activities with meals. The five-day event opens with the New Member Welcome, a get-together designed to help first-time attendees start building connections, and closes with the Family Dinner on Thursday night.

Dallas Martin, AMUG President, said, “From the Sunday-night New Member Welcome to the Thursday-night Family Dinner, AMUG is packed with opportunities to learn, explore, connect, and have some fun along the way. You leave with new ideas, new relationships, and things you can actually take back to your job and use.”

Martin added, “The AMUG Conference is difficult to explain to someone who has not experienced it because it doesn’t feel like a typical conference; it feels like a family. New attendees quickly find people willing to share what they know, make introductions, and help them become part of the AMUG community.”

AMUG crafts an all-inclusive conference program that encourages active participation and connection-building from early mornings through the evenings. In 2027, the AMUG Conference will continue its focus on networking, collaboration, and learning while incorporating changes based on member feedback.

Alex Roschli, Director, Education & Conference, said, “AMUG 2027 will build on the conference experiences members value most while adding even more opportunities to learn, connect, and exchange ideas. We will have familiar favorites alongside expanded roundtable discussions, hands-on workshops, and a full week of technical content.”

The AMUG Conference will offer keynotes, panel discussions, educational sessions, and hands-on workshops to help users maximize their additive manufacturing expertise. For 2027, AMUG will expand roundtable discussions, which are free-flowing, unstructured conversations on specified topics, and host them in a dedicated conference space available throughout the event.

AMUG has also dedicated a large, flexible space for hands-on workshops throughout the week, enabling more attendees to participate in these member-praised activities.

Reflecting the additive manufacturing industry’s increasing focus on applications and vertical markets, the agenda now features 10 conference tracks that represent today’s primary areas of focus. For 2027, AMUG has also added two tracks: simulation & AI and safety & cybersecurity.

The Start-up Launchpad will return to AMUGexpo in 2027, giving additive manufacturing users a place to explore emerging solutions. Training Labs will also return, with conference sponsors providing under-the-hood deep dives, training sessions, and workshops that expand opportunities for immersive learning and engagement.

AMUGexpo will take place on Sunday, March 14; Monday, March 15; and Tuesday, March 16. The expo connects experienced additive manufacturing users with companies offering industry solutions, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge and build relationships.

A highlight of the conference program will be the twelfth annual Innovators Showcase. The showcase is an on-stage interview with the feel of a fireside chat where attendees get to know an industry innovator and discover insights from that individual’s experiences. The showcase serves both to recognize the innovator and to provide attendees with insight into their journey.

All conference activities and lodging will be located at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, making it easier for attendees to continue sharing, networking, and learning throughout the event. The property offers 2,590 guest rooms and a 125,000-square-foot conference center.

The five-day event includes the Wednesday-evening Special Event and Dinner, networking receptions, catered meals, and beverages. The all-inclusive conference registration fee is $1,295.00 through December 11, 2026. Companies interested in participating as sponsors or exhibitors are encouraged to sign up early since space is limited. For details and registration, visit www.amug.com.
